In the name of full disclosure I have to tell you there is something I love more than I love flowers... and that thing is food. I admit it. We've have been incorporating a lot of produce into our designs of late and I cannot tell you how happy working with both flowers and veg has made me! Recently, I came across the blog of very talented photographer and food stylist, Aran Goyoaga. I have a real weak spot for beautiful food photography and have been known to pour over the pages of Donna Hay for hours on end. Enter, Canelle et Vanille. A welcome member on the foodie blogger scene, Aran's photo's of her at home culinary adventures are enough to bring tears to my eyes. Pour over her blog, full of gorgeous pics and beautiful recipes... you'll be glad you did!

last night we were lucky enough to be wined and dined at the brooklyn winery and it could not be a cooler spot! the absolute highlight was a private tour by the wine maker himself who is an extremely nice guy with a wealth of knowledge about wine (of course).
the brooklyn winery recently opened up in williamsburg and are putting their final touches on an amazing outdoor event space, which will be available in the beginning of april! they've done a fantastic job designing and curating the space. right down to the restrooms everything is perfectly put together. the place is filled with reclaimed wood, vintage lighting and barrels of wine. what else could you ask for?
beyond private events the winery is always hosting fun and interesting evenings for the public to be a part of. make sure to check out their events schedule and pop by soon!

it was another early morning over here in brooklyn. by 8am i had already zipped around in a mini coop, picked up coffee, finished up a boutonniere, and dropped flowers at the always lovely Foundry in long island city.
excuse my silly iphone snapped photos, but hope you enjoy this fresh bouquet and boutonniere pairing. the bouquet is composed of patience garden roses, ranunculus, anenome, hellebores, andromeda, fresh lavender, eucalyptus leaves, and seeded eucalyptus. can't wait to show you what it was made for!
